Communications Privacy Policy
1. Introduction & Scope
This addendum supplements our general Privacy Policy and describes how JonSan Home Health Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”)
collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information in connection with communications with clients, prospective
clients, caregivers, or any individuals with whom we communicate (“you,” “your”) via telephone, email, SMS/text, and
other messaging platforms (e.g., secure messaging apps, web chat).
This addendum complies with applicable U.S. federal and state laws and regulations, including HIPAA, the Telephone
Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), business SMS (10DLC/A2P) rules, and SMS campaign registration requirements.
2. Types of Communications & Consent
2.1 Telephone / Voice Calls
We may contact you by voice call for appointment scheduling, reminders, billing, or service updates. Automated calls or
pre-recorded messages are not utilized by us.
2.2 Email
We may send appointment reminders, care coordination updates, billing notices, and service information by email.
Promotional emails are not utilized by us.
2.3 SMS / Text Messaging & Other Messaging Platforms
We may send messages related to appointments, care, billing, and notifications. Consent will be obtained before
use and is part of our on-boarding of staff, admission to services.
- Opt-in disclosures will state sender identity, message purpose, frequency, rates, opt-out instructions, and reference to
this policy.
- Double opt-in may be used to confirm consent.
- Records of opt-ins will be maintained for at least six years or per the agencies regulatory body, whichever is longer.
- You may opt-out anytime by replying STOP or other designated keywords.
3. Use, Disclosure & Retention
We use your communication data to provide care, manage services, resolve inquiries, and for legal or compliance
needs. We do not sell your data. We disclose only to authorized personnel, care partners, or as required by law.
Records are retained as required (minimum six years).

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. Access is restricted to authorized
personnel. Sensitive health data is encrypted when sent via email and is never sent via SMS/text message.
5. Responsibilities & Compliance
- We comply with 10DLC/A2P carrier rules and CTIA Messaging Principles.
- SMS campaigns are registered with carriers and include appropriate sample messages and disclosures.
- We do not repurpose opt-ins across platforms (e.g., text consent does not authorize email marketing).
- We keep records of consents, message logs, and opt-outs for audits.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Opt-out anytime from texts.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of communication data.
- Limit communications to specific channels (e.g., phone only).
- File complaints with our Privacy Officer.
